Principal's Message

Welcome to Hook Elementary! 

A little about your principal:  I am a Troy graduate and attended Cookson Elementary.  My family roots run deep in Troy.   In fact, my great grandfather was the Chief of Police of Troy, and the first song my grandma taught me was the Troy Alma Mater! I graduated from Wright State University and the University of Dayton.  I am certified to teach K-8 and as a principal K-12.  I received my National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist. In my twenties, I taught in Colorado, Florida, and California and then returned home!  I have taught preschool, first, second, third, fourth, and sixth grades.  I have been an assistant principal and a principal.  I am married and have three grown children, a son, Kaleb, and two daughters, Logan and Riley.  My son and his wife, Jillian, blessed us with our first granddaughter, River.  She is such a joy, full of life and an abundance of  energy!   My son and his family live in my childhood home!  

We have an amazing staff at Hook Elementary who care very much about our students!   We are so thankful to be able to spend our days with your children.  I look forward to partnering with you to give them the best possible education!
