Principal’s Message

Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to Hook Elementary!  I absolutely love this community and town.  In fact, I went all the way through Troy City Schools!  My great-grandfather was the Chief of Police, and the first song I learned as a child from my grandma was the Troy Alma Mater.  I have been the Principal of Hook Elementary for seventeen years.  I am a graduate of Wright State University and the University of Dayton.  I am kindergarten certified and have taught preschool, first, second, third, fourth, and sixth grades. I am a National Board Certified Teacher as a Middle Childhood Generalist. I also have a specialty in Early Childhood Development.    I have also taught in Colorado, Florida, California, and Ohio!  I am married and have three grown children and a granddaughter, with another on the way!  I have always told parents that I am a parent and grandparent first and a principal second, so looking at children through the eyes of a parent makes me very protective of your children!  Safety is our number one priority, both physically and mentally.  Thank you for trusting us with your children every day!  Please know that you can reach out to me anytime at school by calling, emailing, or sending a Dojo message!  I look forward to a fantastic year!
